Our lead teachers come with strong backgrounds in early childhood education, bringing both knowledge and compassion to the classroom. Every member of our staff participates in ongoing professional development and receives regular training in First Aid/CPR, Best Practices in Early Childhood, Social-Emotional Development, and more. We believe in growing together, so we can give your child the very best, every single day.
Qualifications Of Staff
Our lead teachers and classroom aides are highly qualified in Early Childhood Development, possessing significant experience and education. All staff members undergo background checks and receive approval to work with children. We are committed to ongoing professional development, providing continuous training to enhance our knowledge and skills. Specific staff qualifications are available upon request.
Number And Type Of Staff
Rhythm and Rhyme Childcare is an equal opportunity employer. Staff are selected via an interview process and through background checks by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Each classroom is led by one teacher and one assistant (as necessary) to ensure state-regulated student-to-staff ratios.
The Director oversees the center and participates in the day-to-day routine of the classrooms.
Assistant Directors- oversee the center in place of the Director. Assists in classroom management, lesson planning, staff development, scheduling, and record keeping.
Lead Teacher- responsible for curriculum planning and implementation, classroom management, family communication, and child assessments.
Assistant Teacher- responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher.
Floating Staff- responsible for covering lead and assistant teacher breaks and absences, supports the classroom teacher and assistant, and maintains consistency at transitional periods.
